Kuwait braces for scattered rain, dusty winds and frost from tomorrow until Friday
The Meteorological Department has forecast scattered rainfall and dust-raising winds across the country, with the possibility of frost forming in agricultural and desert areas from Wednesday through Friday.
Acting Director of the Meteorological Department, Darrar Al-Ali, said that weather maps and numerical models indicate the country will be affected from dawn tomorrow by an extension of a low-pressure system accompanied by a relatively warm and humid air mass.
This will bring chances of scattered rain and increased activity in southeasterly winds, which may at times raise dust, Al-Rai daily reports.
He added that temperatures are expected to rise slightly until this evening, before a high-pressure system advances, bringing a cold and dry air mass.
This shift will be accompanied by light to moderate northwesterly winds that may become active at times, reaching speeds of 15 to 50 km/h, causing dust and pushing sea waves to more than six feet.
Al-Ali noted that a noticeable drop in temperatures is expected, with frost likely to form in agricultural and desert areas on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
He explained that maximum temperatures during this period will range between 17 and 20 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures will fall between 4 and 11 degrees, making the weather generally mild to cool during the day and cold to very cold at night.
