Kuwait braces for intermittent rain from Wednesday noon to Thursday evening
The Kuwait Meteorological Department anticipates intermittent rain, possibly with thunder, starting tomorrow at noon, Wednesday, and continuing until Thursday evening.
Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi, the Director of the Department, informed Kuwait News Agency today that this rain will coincide with strong northerly to northeasterly winds, stirring up dust and reducing visibility, especially in exposed areas, along with rising sea waves.
He elaborated that the country is influenced by a surface depression along with a humid air mass, coinciding with a weak upper atmospheric depression. This combination is causing the proliferation of low and medium clouds, occasionally mixed with cumulus clouds.
Al-Qarawi noted that the depression is expected to diminish by late Thursday evening, allowing a high-pressure system to dominate. This will lead to stabilized weather conditions, gradual disappearance of clouds and rain chances, and generally hot days and moderate nights.
