Kuwait braces for hot, dusty weather, strong winds through midweek

The Director of the Meteorology Department, Dharar Al-Ali, has warned that Kuwait will experience a period of hot, dusty, and windy weather beginning Monday, due to the extension of a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a dry, hot air mass.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency, Al-Ali said that active northwesterly winds will affect the country starting Monday, intensifying on Tuesday and Wednesday. These winds are expected to stir up dust in open areas, potentially reducing horizontal visibility to less than 1,000 meters in some areas.
The wind speeds will range between 20 to 65 kilometers per hour, with Tuesday and Wednesday described as hot and dusty throughout the day. Evening conditions are expected to remain hot to very warm, with winds easing slightly to 20–50 km/h. Sea waves during this period may reach heights of 3 to 7 feet.
Temperature forecasts indicate maximum daytime highs between 44°C and 47°C, while overnight lows will hover between 32°C and 35°C.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions, especially those with respiratory conditions, and to limit outdoor exposure during periods of low visibility and high temperatures.
