Kuwait braces for 26 days of weather instability as seasons shift

The Al-Ujairi Scientific Center reported that Kuwait will face unstable weather conditions for 26 days due to the seasonal transition, as the Hameem season nears its end and the Dhraan season begins.

In a press release, the center explained that the country’s climate instability is caused by the seasonal transition and overlap, leading to active winds, thunderstorms, and hail.

The center shared that the current period is known as “the preceding days” and noted that with the arrival of the two-day period on April 2, climate changes and unstable weather conditions will persist.

During the Dhraan season, the sun’s high angle causes the air to heat up; leading to increased movement of air currents the center stated.

The center explained that the Dhraan season is marked by active winds with varying speeds and directions, making them difficult to predict accurately. It also noted that this season brings weather fluctuations and temperature variations, lasting for 26 days and divided into two periods.
