Kuwait, along with several Arab and Islamic nations, issued a joint statement strongly condemning remarks made by the United States Ambassador to Israel, in which he suggested acceptance of Israel’s control over lands belonging to Arab countries, including the occupied West Bank.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the foreign ministries of multiple countries — including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Indonesia, Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Oman, and Bahrain — together with the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Arab League, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, expressed deep concern and categorical rejection of the statements, describing them as dangerous and provocative, reports Al-Rai daily.
The joint statement stressed that such remarks represent a clear violation of international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter, warning that they pose a serious threat to regional security and stability.
The ministries noted that the comments contradict the vision announced by Donald Trump aimed at de-escalation and creating a political pathway toward a comprehensive settlement that guarantees the Palestinian people the establishment of an independent state.
The participating countries reaffirmed that Israel has no sovereignty over occupied Palestinian territories or any other occupied Arab lands.
They also rejected any attempts to annex the West Bank, separate it from the Gaza Strip, or expand settlement activities, emphasizing their firm opposition to any actions that threaten the sovereignty of Arab states.
The statement warned that continued expansionist policies and inflammatory rhetoric would only fuel violence and undermine peace prospects, reiterating the countries’ unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state within the June 4, 1967 borders, alongside an end to the occupation of all occupied Arab territories.
