Kuwait and Vietnam strengthen security coordination to combat cross-border crime

Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Ali Al-Adwani, held talks on Monday with Lieutenant General Pham Thi Tong, Deputy Minister of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to reinforce bilateral cooperation in security and police affairs.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, the meeting focused on enhancing coordination in combating transnational crime, expanding the exchange of expertise and security intelligence, and ensuring the safety of citizens in both countries, reports Al-Rai daily.
The discussions also covered several draft agreements and proposed cooperation projects aimed at advancing joint efforts across various security sectors.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the security partnership and strengthening institutional collaboration to support crime-fighting initiatives, protect communities, and promote stability in the two friendly nations.
The Vietnamese delegation expressed appreciation for Kuwait’s warm reception and constructive engagement, emphasizing its eagerness to explore broader avenues for future security cooperation.
