Kuwait and Lebanon strengthen military ties, pledge deeper cooperation

Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Sabah has reaffirmed the depth of Kuwait’s fraternal ties with Lebanon, highlighting continuous coordination and expanding cooperation, particularly in the military field.

The Ministry of Defense stated Sheikh Abdullah received Lebanese Defense Minister Major-General Michel Menassa and his accompanying delegation at the Al-Salam Palace Museum, where discussions focused on advancing joint military cooperation to reinforce regional security and stability.

Following the meeting, Major-General Menassa toured the Al-Salam Palace Museum with General Supervisor Sheikha Mona Al-Jaber and later attended a dinner hosted in his honor by Minister Sheikh Ali Al-Mubarak.

The talks were attended by senior Kuwaiti defense officials, including Undersecretary Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mishaal and Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Pilot Sabah Al-Jaber, as well as Lebanese Chargé d’Affaires Mia Al-Adham.

Menassa also visited the Supply and Logistics Authority, where he was received by Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Engineer Salah Al-Azmi. Al-Azmi underscored that the visit embodies the brotherly bonds between Kuwait and Lebanon and reflects their shared commitment to enhancing logistics and military expertise.

During the visit, Menassa was briefed on the Authority’s functions and logistical capabilities, toured its facilities, and reviewed its installations and equipment. He was accompanied by senior officers from both sides, underlining the significance of the visit on both military and diplomatic levels.
