Talks focus on boosting economic ties in line with Kuwait Vision 2035

The first round of political consultations between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Latvia was held today in Riga.

According to a statement issued by the Kuwaiti Embassy in Germany, the two sides explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations — particularly in the economic sector — in line with Kuwait Vision 2035.

Discussions also covered cooperation in logistics, technology, and food security, along with key regional and international issues and prospects for collaboration in global forums, according to Al-Rai daily.

Kuwait’s delegation was led by Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Sadiq Ma’arafi, while Latvia was represented by Undersecretary for Political Affairs Avars Lasis.

The meeting was also attended by Kuwait’s Ambassador to Germany Reem Al-Khaled and Latvia’s Ambassador to the UAE, Dana Goldvinc, who is currently reassigned to Kuwait.
