Kuwait and France explore new horizons for economic cooperation

Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef met today with French Minister of Foreign Trade Nicolas Forissier to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral commercial and economic ties between Kuwait and France.
The meeting, held at Bayan Palace, was attended by Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Ajil and members of the French delegation.
The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in trade and investment, aiming to serve the common interests of both countries, reports Al-Rai daily.

Senior officials present at the meeting included Head of the Prime Minister’s Office Abdulaziz Al-Dakheel, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Ambassador Sadiq Marafi, and the French Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Olivier Gauvin.
The talks highlighted the importance of fostering closer economic collaboration, exploring opportunities for joint ventures, and facilitating trade relations that can benefit both nations’ economies.
Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef emphasized Kuwait’s commitment to enhancing its international partnerships, while Minister Forissier reaffirmed France’s interest in strengthening commercial and investment links with the Gulf region.
