Kuwait and Egypt sign industrial export MoU to boost trade cooperation

A decree has been issued approving a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the governments of Kuwait and Egypt to develop industrial exports and facilitate bilateral trade. The decision has been published in the official gazette, Kuwait Alyawm.
Under the MoU, both countries have committed to exert all efforts to enhance trade exchanges and provide comprehensive support in key areas.
These include participation of public and private sectors in international and specialized exhibitions in both countries, as well as promoting awareness-raising and promotional activities such as conferences, discussion groups, and seminars.
The agreement also emphasizes the exchange of visits by delegations representing various economic and industrial sectors, allowing stakeholders from both sides to share experiences, build networks, and explore collaborative opportunities.
Article 3 of the MoU mandates the exchange of economic and commercial information, including bulletins, statistics, electronic data, and country-specific industrial and economic information. Both parties are bound to maintain strict confidentiality and cannot share this information with third parties without prior written consent.
The memorandum further provides for joint efforts to conduct market studies and present best practices through media seminars, training programs, and exploratory visits. These initiatives aim to enable both countries to learn from each other’s experiences and expertise in export development.
