Kuwait Amir departs Bahrain after GCC Summit, sends ‘Thank-You’ cable to King Hamad

Warm ties highlighted as Kuwait Amir concludes visit to Bahrain for GCC meeting

His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, departed the Kingdom of Bahrain this afternoon after leading Kuwait’s delegation to the 46th Ordinary Session of the GCC Supreme Council.

His Highness and the accompanying official delegation were seen off at the airport by Bahrain’s Minister of the Royal Court, Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa, reports Al-Rai daily.

Following his departure, His Highness sent a cable of thanks to Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, expressing his deep appreciation for the warm welcome, generous hospitality, and excellent arrangements provided during the summit.

He affirmed that the gracious reception reflects the historic ties and deeply rooted brotherly relations between the two nations and their peoples.

In his message, the Amir praised Bahrain’s successful hosting of the summit, which was also attended by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

He commended the Kingdom for its outstanding organizational efforts and highlighted that the summit’s positive outcomes strengthen GCC progress, support sustainable development, and advance shared interests toward deeper cohesion and integration.

His Highness reiterated Kuwait’s pride in its distinguished relationship with Bahrain and concluded his cable by wishing King Hamad continued good health, and the people of Bahrain lasting prosperity under their leadership.
