Kuwait Amir calls Qatari counterpart, affirms Kuwait’s full support
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah made a phone call this evening to His Highness the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to check on the safety and well-being of the Qatari leadership and people following the recent missile attack on Al Udeid Air Base by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.
During the call, His Highness the Amir expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack, describing it as a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace, and a breach of international law and the UN Charter, reports Al-Rai daily.
He reaffirmed Kuwait’s full solidarity with Qatar — its leadership, government, and people — and pledged full support for any measures Doha undertakes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability.
His Highness also affirmed Kuwait’s readiness to mobilize all resources and capabilities to stand by the sisterly State of Qatar.
“The security and stability of Qatar is an integral part of the security and stability of the State of Kuwait,” His Highness stressed, praying to Almighty God to protect Qatar and its people from all harm.
In response, Amir Sheikh Tamim expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to His Highness the Amir, wishing him continued health and well-being, and the people of Kuwait further progress and prosperity.
