Kuwait Airways showcases excellence at Bahrain International Airshow
The Kuwaiti pavilion saw significant attendance, with several officials and stakeholders in the air transport sector visiting and learning about the history of Kuwait’s national carrier since 1954.
• Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah emphasized the importance of the Bahrain International Airshow and its vital role in bringing together such a large number of airlines and industry specialists from around the region and the world under one umbrella.
Kuwait Airways took part in the seventh session of the Bahrain International Airshow, held from November 13 to 15, according to Al Rai newspaper.
The presence of ‘Kuwaitiya’ was part of the Kuwaiti delegation participating in the exhibition, represented by Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, the head of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, along with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Qa’an, and an accompanying delegation of Kuwaiti officials.
About 223 civil and military delegations from more than 56 countries, along with 60 regional and international companies, participated in the exhibition. Additionally, more than 135 local, regional, and international companies attended, showcasing in various spaces including the exhibition area, airport square, chalets, and five international pavilions.

In this regard, Al Hamoud emphasized the importance of the Bahrain International Airshow and its vital role in bringing together such a large number of airlines and industry specialists from around the region and the world under one umbrella. He also congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, on the event’s success, highlighting the exhibition’s organizational excellence, the display of cutting-edge technology, and the prominent participation of the latest aircraft models from major international companies.
Al-Hamoud appreciated the strong and historical relations between Kuwait and Bahrain across all economic, social, cultural, and other levels, stressing the depth of these brotherly ties that unite the two countries and their mutual distinction and synergy at the level of political leadership.
Al-Hamoud pointed out that the General Directorate of Civil Aviation has recently worked to expand the horizons of joint cooperation between Kuwait and countries worldwide in the air transport sector, enhancing Kuwait’s presence in international forums and strengthening its strategic relations globally.
For his part, Al-Faqan stated: “Kuwaitiya is pleased to participate in one of the most important exhibitions in the region, the Bahrain International Airshow, in its seventh edition.”
He added: “The participation of Kuwaitiya in the exhibition reflects its commitment to being present at such an international forum, especially as it represents the national carrier and showcases Kuwait among global airlines. This participation highlights our awareness of the importance of being involved in such exhibitions, particularly the Bahrain International Airshow, which plays a key role in hosting this large gathering of the world’s most important airlines.”
Al-Qa’an stated that the exhibition provided Kuwaitiya with an opportunity to highlight its achievements and the remarkable progress it has made in developing its modern fleet. This includes new passenger services that offer greater comfort to customers, as well as its role in establishing modern standards and a pioneering travel experience that remains firmly in the minds of passengers.
He also pointed out that Kuwaitiya’s presence at the exhibition is a valuable opportunity to explore new partnerships and agreements with other companies, while benefiting from the latest advancements in aviation and modern technology, including entertainment systems and enhanced services. Additionally, it allows the airline to closely examine future projects and plans within the aviation industry.
