Despite ceasefire Kuwait still subjected to wave of attacks since 8 am

The Ministry of Defense announced that Kuwaiti air defense systems have been actively responding since 8:00 a.m. today to an intensive wave of hostile drone attacks launched from Iran.
Official spokesperson Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan stated that a total of 28 drones were detected targeting various locations across the country, including at least eight aimed directly at Kuwait.
He confirmed that air defense units successfully intercepted a significant number of the incoming drones. However, some managed to reach critical sites in the southern region, including vital oil installations and power generation facilities.
The attacks resulted in substantial material damage to oil infrastructure, electricity plants, and water desalination facilities, raising concerns over the resilience of essential services.
The General Staff of the Army emphasized that all available capabilities have been deployed to monitor, intercept, and counter these aggressive strikes, reaffirming the armed forces’ commitment to safeguarding the nation’s security and critical infrastructure.
