Kuwait air defenses intercept four missiles, three drones in past 24 hours

Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense announced on Friday the interception and destruction of four hostile ballistic missiles and three drones within Kuwaiti airspace over the past 24 hours.
This came in remarks by the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense Colonel Staff Saud Al-Atwan during a media briefing on the latest operational developments in light of the Iranian aggression against Kuwait.
Al-Atwan stated that a cruise missile targeting Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port was detected, resulting in material damage with no human casualties reported.
He added that four drones targeted Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port and Shuwaikh Port, causing material damage only, with no injuries recorded.
“The armed forces affirm their continued performance of duties with the highest levels of readiness and preparedness, within an integrated system of monitoring, tracking, and response to various threats, in full coordination with military, security, and state authorities, in a manner that enhances the country’s security and stability and ensures the safety of citizens and residents,” he said.
He prayed Allah Almighty for the continued security and safety of the nation under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and for mercy upon the nation’s martyrs.
Earlier today, the Ministry of Public Works announced that infrastructure at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port was subjected to a dual attack using hostile drones and cruise missiles, with initial reports indicating material damage and no human casualties.
The Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA) had also announced earlier that Shuwaikh Port was targeted by hostile drones, resulting in material damage only, without any injuries. – Kuna
