KU hosts final academic aptitude test for over 5,500 students

. . . including 30 with special needs

Kuwait University announced that 5,524 students sat for the Academic Aptitude Test today, marking the final opportunity for this year’s university admission process.

Among the examinees were 30 students with special needs, who were accommodated in specially equipped halls with individualized supervision and assistive tools such as computers and writing instruments to ensure a safe, accessible, and comfortable testing environment, reports Al-Rai daily.

University President Dr. Dina Al-Mailem led a field tour across several exam halls in Sabah Al-Salem University City, accompanied by Vice President for Planning and Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Osama Al-Omair, and Assistant Vice President for Evaluation and Measurement, Dr. Suleiman Al-Rafai’i.

The delegation assessed the organization of the exams and affirmed the university’s commitment to providing a stimulating academic environment that supports student success.

In her remarks, Dr. Al-Mailem congratulated high school graduates and reaffirmed Kuwait University’s dedication to fostering academic excellence: “Students are the core of the educational process, and it is our duty to provide them with the best possible conditions to ensure their success and academic progress.”

She also expressed her satisfaction with the exam organization, noting the university’s efforts to offer integrated services during the testing period, including safety and security, healthcare through campus clinics, and food services.

Dr. Al-Rafai’i stated that 4,710 students initially registered for the electronic exam, with 1,000 additional seats later made available — 817 of which were filled—bringing the total number of test-takers to 5,524. He highlighted the university’s efforts to ensure that students with special needs were given personalized support to complete their tests under optimal conditions.

Dr. Al-Mailem appreciated all departments and personnel involved in the smooth and successful administration of the exams, praising their coordination and teamwork as a reflection of the university’s unified commitment to student welfare and academic integrity.
