KNPC sweeps 2025 RoSPA awards for excellence in occupational health and safety

The Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) has achieved a new milestone in occupational health and safety, with all of its sites receiving the prestigious 2025 RoSPA Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), a leading UK-based organization established in 1916.
This international award recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in workplace health and safety management systems, underscoring their ongoing commitment to employee well-being and operational safety.
Among the honors received:
- Mina Abdullah Refinery was awarded the RoSPA Medal of Excellence, the highest classification, for maintaining its outstanding safety record for 20 consecutive years.
- KNPC’s Main Building and Projects Department earned the Gold Medal classification for the ninth consecutive year.
- The Local Marketing Department secured the Gold Medal for the eighth consecutive year.
- Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery received the Gold Award classification.
KNPC’s Deputy CEO for Support Services, Kholoud Al-Mutairi, praised the achievement, noting that safety is not merely a compliance issue but a core cultural value embedded in the company’s 2040 strategic vision. She stressed that this recognition will positively impact both the workforce and the company’s operations.
Al-Mutairi added that the award highlights KNPC’s adaptability and commitment to continuously improving its systems in line with global standards.
She emphasized that this performance boosts the company’s standing during audits, client and partner evaluations, and stakeholder reviews—while also reflecting the hard work and dedication of KNPC’s employees.
