KM steps up crackdown on encroachments, illegal structures

The Public Relations Department of the Kuwait Municipality during an inspection campaign removed 44 unauthorized encroachments on state property and issued 75 warning notices to violators with instructions to remove the within a specified period.
Such campaigns organized by the Kuwait Municipality in all governorates target investment, commercial, and private residential areas, with the aim of enforcing municipal laws and preserving public land, Al-Rai daily.
Engineer Fahad Al-Muwaizri, in a statement issued yesterday, emphasized the municipality’s commitment to maintaining order and ensuring that public property is not exploited or misused. The inspections form part of a wider strategy to curb irregularities and hold violators accountable in accordance with the law regulating the use of state property.
The Public Relations Department affirmed that field inspection campaigns will continue without interruption, and urged individuals and businesses to adhere to municipal regulations.
