KIPIC supplies low-sulfur oil across northern, southern power stations

In collaboration with the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) has successfully delivered a consistent, secure, and safe provision of low-sulfur fuel oil across all its northern and southern stations.

This accomplishment plays a crucial role in reinforcing the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy’s initiatives toward a comprehensive shift to cleaner energy sources, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Abdullah Fahad Al-Ajmi, the official spokesperson for Integrated Petroleum, highlighted, “This achievement is the result of collective endeavors between the company, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, and the Ministry.

The comprehensive adoption of low-sulfur fuel oil by the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy contributes significantly to environmental preservation, reducing the ecological footprint, and enhancing air quality in the State of Kuwait.”

Emphasizing the significance of utilizing low-sulfur fuel oil, Al-Ajmi underscored its pivotal role in minimizing sulfur emissions, addressing concerns related to air pollution, and aligning with global endeavors to combat climate change.

This shift reinforces Kuwait’s dedication to embracing sustainable and environmentally friendly practices within its energy sector.

Al-Ajmi further emphasized that the collaboration between the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company and the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation not only ensures a reliable supply of low-sulfur fuel oil but also marks a significant milestone in the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy’s journey toward an eco-friendly energy framework and achieving national self-sufficiency.
