KIAA concludes workshop on new international audit standards

The Kuwait Internal Auditors Association (KIAA) concluded its workshop on the new international standards for the internal audit profession last Wednesday at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel.
The event brought together a distinguished group of internal audit managers and professionals from various sectors to discuss critical updates to the global standards, which are set to take effect soon.
Participants underscored the importance of staying up to date with evolving professional frameworks, and the workshop featured real-life case studies highlighting the challenges auditors face and the adjustments required to comply with the new standards, reports Al-Rai daily.
In his closing remarks, Fouad Al-Awadhi, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, thanked the attendees for their active participation and emphasized the importance of continuing such gatherings to foster knowledge-sharing and collaboration within the audit community.
Board member Ahmed Al-Khamis expressed his pride in the workshop’s success, noting its vital role in advancing Kuwait’s internal audit practices in line with global best practices.
