KFF urges residents to keep emergency safety equipment at home
Al Hajji highlights the importance of keeping essential safety tools, such as a fire extinguisher, smoke detector, fire blanket and a first aid kit

The Kuwait Fire Force has urged citizens and residents to ensure that basic safety and protective equipment is available in their homes, in light of the current regional situation and as a precaution against any potential emergencies.
Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Al Hajji from the Public Relations and Media Department of the Fire Force highlighted the importance of keeping essential safety tools at home, including a fire extinguisher, smoke detector, fire blanket and a first aid kit, noting that these items play a crucial role in reducing risks and enabling an initial response during emergency situations, reports Al-Rai daily.
Speaking to Kuwait TV, Al-Hajji said that these safety tools are widely available in the market and reasonably priced, making it easy for heads of households to obtain them.
He also stressed the importance of learning how to use the equipment properly to ensure its effectiveness during emergencies.
He further recommended that households acquire a powder fire extinguisher, as it can be used to combat various types of fires.
Al-Hajji noted that electrical short circuits remain among the most common causes of fires in Kuwait.
Concluding his remarks, Al-Hajji advised the public not to overload electrical appliances or overuse power outlets. He also called on citizens and residents to follow developments in the current situation through official and reliable sources.
