Airport fuel tank fire brought under control; crews still fighting PIFSS HQ blaze

The Kuwait Fire Force announced today its teams had managed to control the fire at the fuel tanks of Kuwait International Airport, adding that other teams were continuing to fight the fire at the headquarters of the Public Institution for Social Security.
The Director of Public Relations and Media and official spokesperson for the force, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Gharib, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that fighting the fire at Kuwait Airport did not result in any significant injuries.
The KFF announced earlier today that its teams were working to combat the two fires in both the fuel tanks of Kuwait International Airport and the headquarters of the Public Institution for Social Security in order to control them and prevent their spread.
The Director of Public Relations and Media, and official spokesperson for the General Fire Force, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Gharib, explained that any updates related to the firefighting operation will be announced, stressing the importance of obtaining information from official and approved sources.
