KFF organizes fire safety awareness lecture for visually impaired

As part of its ongoing cooperation between the Kuwait Fire Force and public benefit organizations, the Public Relations and Media Department of the KFF organized an awareness lecture at the headquarters of the Association for the Blind, focusing on fire prevention and appropriate emergency response.
The initiative was conducted under the directives of KFF Commander Major General Talal Mohammed Al-Roumi. The lecture, delivered by Lieutenant Colonel Hamid Wahid Al-Marshad was aimed at educating the blind and visually impaired persons on the risks of fires and accidents, emphasizing prevention strategies and the correct procedures to follow during emergencies. Safe evacuation techniques were also explained in detail, reports Al-Rai daily.
In a proactive step to enhance accessibility, the Public Relations and Media Department had earlier provided the association with fire safety materials, which the association translated into Braille and distributed to the beneficiaries. This effort has significantly strengthened awareness and safety preparedness within the visually impaired community.
Meanwhile, the KFF Training Department announced the successful conclusion of a technical rescue foundation course, in which 16 non-commissioned officers from the National Guard participated and completed the specialized training program.
