KFAS, Saud Al-Nasser Diplomatic Institute sign MoU

In a strategic step toward strengthening Kuwait’s diplomatic corps and fostering sustainable development, the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saud Al-Nasser Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The agreement aims to design and implement specialized training programs that will enhance the skills and competencies of Kuwaiti diplomats in key areas of international engagement, reports Al-Rai daily.

The signing ceremony took place at KFAS headquarters in the presence of Dr. Amina Farhan, Director General of KFAS, and Ambassador Nasser Al-Subaih, Assistant Foreign Minister for Institute Affairs.

Dr. Farhan highlighted that the memorandum establishes a framework for ongoing cooperation in developing programs tailored to the evolving demands of diplomacy. The focus will be on cultivating expertise in high-priority fields such as climate action, women’s empowerment, and critical areas of international negotiation and policy.

KFAS emphasized that this collaboration aligns with its 2025–2029 strategic plan, which prioritizes investment in national capacities and the establishment of a robust knowledge-based system to ensure sustainable development. Through this initiative, KFAS reaffirms its commitment to supporting national institutions and empowering human resources across all sectors.

The partnership reflects Kuwait’s broader vision of advancing a modern, adaptable diplomatic force equipped to meet global challenges and contribute effectively to regional and international discourse.
