KEPS General Assembly approves new board and 2024 reports

The General Assembly of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society (KEPS) has approved the nomination of seven members to its Board of Directors.
The General Assembly has also approved the financial and administrative reports for 2024, during its annual meeting held at the Society’s temporary headquarters in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, reports Al-Jarida daily.
In a statement during the meeting, Dr. Wijdan Al-Aqab, Chairwoman of the Board, emphasized that the composition of the new board aligns with KEPS’s commitment to empowering Kuwaiti women in environmental and community engagement. Notably, four of the seven board members are women, reflecting a growing female presence in environmental leadership roles.
The newly approved Board of Directors are Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Muhanna – Vice President; Jenan Bahzad – Secretary General; Mahmoud Tifoni – Treasurer; and Dr. Mohammed Khaddada, Samira Al-Khalifa, and Dima Al-Adasani – Members
Dr. Al-Aqab praised the team’s diverse expertise and reaffirmed the Society’s ongoing mission to enhance environmental awareness and sustainability efforts across Kuwait.
The new board is expected to guide KEPS through the next phase of its strategic initiatives, with a continued focus on community involvement, education, and environmental advocacy.
