KCICAI bowling bash brings strikes, spares, and laughter to Kuwait

The social event was a wonderful opportunity for KCICAI members and their families to come together for an enjoyable day of sport, camaraderie, and healthy competition

  • The Bowling Friendly Tournament, hosted by the KCICAI, was aimed to build community spirit among members while promoting physical activity and family involvement in a relaxed and engaging setting.

The Kuwait Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (KCICAI) recently hosted a lively Bowling Friendly Tournament at the Kuwait Bowling Sporting Club in Salmiya. This social event, open to men, women, and children aged ten and up, drew an enthusiastic crowd of over 250 participants.

The Bowling Friendly Tournament provided KCICAI members and their families with a delightful opportunity to gather for a day of sport, camaraderie, and healthy competition. The event aimed to build community spirit among members while promoting physical activity and family involvement in a relaxed and engaging setting.

The day kicked off with a warm welcome from CA Aditya Dhanuka, Chairperson of KCICAI, who expressed his excitement over the large turnout. He emphasized the importance of such social events in strengthening the bonds within the KCICAI community, noting that the event was about more than just competition—it was about creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Participants were divided into teams, mixing men, women, and children to ensure a balanced and inclusive competition. The atmosphere was electric, with cheers and laughter echoing throughout the bowling alley as participants took turns aiming for strikes and spares. For many children, this was their first experience in a bowling tournament, and their enthusiasm brought a lively energy to the event.

Special awards were given out at the end of the tournament, recognizing top scorers. These awards highlighted the inclusive spirit of the event, where the emphasis was on participation and enjoyment rather than just winning.

The top three winners in the each category were:

  • Male category: CA Jai Garg, CA Mohammed Dalal and CA Huzefa KD.
  • Female category: Mrs. Nimisha Bindal (wife of CA Avinash Bindal), Mrs. Sweta Choudhary (wife of CA Arun Choudhary) and CA Monica Chopra (wife of CA Ankit Chopra).
  • Children (above 18 years) category: Faraz Mohammed (son of CA Asif Mohammed), Simran Midha (daughter of CA Shaleen Midha) and Anika Goswami (daughter of CA Sabyasachi Goswami).
  • Children (below 18 years) category: Vani Handa (daughter of CA Gaurav Handa), Ali Hussain (son of CA Akil Hussain) and Akhil Konduri (son of CA Anuradha Konduri).

The organizing team members—CA Jatin Bagaria, CA Kunal Dalmia, and CA Rinkesh Sukhwani—led by CA Umesh Soni, Treasurer of KCICAI, ensured the safety of all participants by taking necessary precautions. A special thanks goes to this team for their hard work and dedication in making the event successful and memorable for all involved. Their efforts were greatly appreciated by all participants. The KCICAI Executive Committee extends sincere gratitude to its annual sponsors, NBK and Al Mulla Exchange, for their continued support of the chapter’s activities.

KCICAI continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering community spirit through various social, sporting, and charitable events. The Bowling Friendly Tournament was yet another step toward creating a vibrant and connected KCICAI family in Kuwait.
