Through the successful licensing of a terrestrial cable landing point in Kuwait to KEMS Zajil Telecom, a subsidiary of Kalaam Telecom Group, and the partnership with Iraq’s General Communications and Informatics Company, the route has enabled seamless international data capacity from the GCC, passing through Iraq, all the way to Europe.
Over the past year, Kalaam Iraq route has delivered high-quality performance to customers, offering extensive and diverse capacities, low latency, enhanced flexibility and security, while minimizing risks and capacity constraints.
This has empowered businesses to rely on fast, secure, and multi-option connectivity. With the best overall round-trip delay (RTD) between the GCC and Europe, the route has become the ideal choice for a wide range of sectors, including banks, government ministries, public institutions, Oil and Gas sector, and live sports event platforms, due to its high performance and reliable connectivity.
The route also serves as an alternative to routes limited to the Red Sea, avoiding common maintenance challenges associated with submarine cables and providing a secure, resilient pathway for uninterrupted data flow.
