The Embassy of Poland in Kuwait, in collaboration with Jazeera Airways, announced the inauguration of the inaugural direct flights from Kuwait to Kraków.

This announcement was made during a press conference at the Polish Embassy, where the Chargé d’Affairs, Anna Godoj-Ciszkowska, delivered a speech alongside Jazeera Airways CEO Barathan Pasupathi (Bara).

Ciszkowska explained that this launch not only signifies the start of direct flights but also serves as a bridge that connects the two cultures and strengthens existing relations between two distinct destinations. She highlighted that despite the miles separating Kuwait and Kraków, there is a common denominator—the richness of history, culture, and heritage in both places.

She emphasized that Kraków, as the historical capital of Poland, embodies the unique Polish heritage, rich in everything that represents local culture, beautiful urban green spaces, countless legends, and delicious local dishes.

She stated that as of June 11, 2024, Jazeera Airways will operate two direct flights weekly to Kraków, making it an ideal choice for tourists and the Polish community visiting family and friends. Currently, the shortest travel option from Kuwait to Kraków takes about 10 hours with multiple connecting flights, whereas Jazeera Airways’ flight will cut this time in half.

Ciszkowska added that this flight represents more than just a connection between cities; it symbolizes fruitful cooperation and synergy, offering opportunities for Kuwaiti and Polish citizens. She thanked Jazeera Airways and its team for this pivotal initiative to establish a direct link between the countries, hoping it will lead to unforgettable experiences and lasting memories.

For his part, Jazeera Airways CEO Barathan Pasupathi said, “We at Jazeera Airways are pleased to launch direct flights from Kuwait to the charming city of Kraków, home to the first World Heritage sites registered with UNESCO. The operation of this new route has led to a growing demand for new and quality summer destinations. Kraków is unique in its rich blend of history, architecture, authentic cuisine, culture, and stunning natural landmarks.”

He revealed the strong demand for the Kraków destination during the summer season and expressed the company’s happiness to operate these flights at a time when Poland and Kuwait are celebrating nearly 61 years of strong bilateral relations.

He stated that Jazeera Airways operates direct flights to 60 destinations with high demand for leisure and religious tourism, business, and short holidays across the Middle East, Central and South Asia, Africa, and Europe, at competitive prices that make it the ideal choice for travel.
