Jazeera Airways takes off as Al-Qadisiya Club’s official carrier

Engineer Nasser Al-Obaid, Chief Government Affairs Officer at Jazeera Airways, affirmed that the airline’s partnership with Al-Qadisiya Club reflects the company’s deep belief in its role in serving the Kuwaiti community.

Kuwait’s sports sector marked a notable occasion with a press conference hosted by Al-Qadsia Sports Club at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center – Conference Building. The event announced the club’s official sponsors for the new season and unveiled the first football team’s new kits, reported Al Qabas newspaper.

The conference was attended by sports and media personalities, representatives of leading national companies, and sponsors. Among the speakers were club board member and spokesperson Mohammed Redha Maarefi, and Jazeera Airways’ Chief Government Affairs Officer, Eng. Nasser Al-Obaid.

The event highlighted the growing role of the private sector in supporting Kuwaiti sports and underscored the importance of building stronger institutional partnerships to drive the sector forward.

Maarefi stressed that Al-Qadisiya always strives to be a model in strengthening the relationship between sports clubs and private sector institutions.

He said, “What we are witnessing today is not merely the announcement of sponsorship contracts, but rather an embodiment of true partnership between the club and national institutions that believe in our mission and our role in serving sports and youth.”

Maarefi emphasized that through these partnerships, Al-Qadisiya Club aims to build a sustainable sporting environment that provides both financial and moral support, enabling it to meet the aspirations of its fans and continue the achievements that have distinguished it for decades.

Official sponsors

Maarefi revealed the list of sponsors for the new season, announcing a contract with Jazeera Airways as the main sponsor and official carrier of the club, reflecting the mutual trust between the two sides.

Miles joined as a gold sponsor, while Inter Sport and Auto 1 signed silver sponsorship contracts, and Fix Pro came on board as a bronze sponsor. Aeria continues as the kit sponsor for the sixth consecutive season, marking the longest-standing sponsorship deal among Kuwaiti clubs.

He added that this diverse lineup of sponsors demonstrates the club’s strong standing in the sports market and its ability to attract partners across air transport, retail, services, and sports brands.

Serving the Kuwaiti community

Al-Obaid added that the initiative builds on more than two decades of Jazeera Airways’ commitment to supporting community initiatives and strengthening ties with various segments of society.

The event also featured the official unveiling of the club’s new first-team football kits, presented by Aria. The designs preserve the club’s identity while meeting fans’ expectations and boosting the morale of players ahead of the new season. The kits received strong approval from attendees, who stressed that they enhance the club’s image locally and internationally.

The conference marked an important step in Al-Qadisiya’s journey, not only in marketing but also in strengthening ties between the sports and private sectors. This aligns with Kuwait’s broader vision of promoting the role of economic institutions in supporting youth and sports.

Observers highlighted that the announcement reflects a growing awareness of the importance of sports investment as a key pillar of global sports development. They stressed that government funding alone is no longer sufficient, making private partnerships essential for achieving financial stability and competitiveness.

Club spokesperson Mohammed Redha Maarefi concluded by affirming that Al-Qadisiya remains loyal to its fans and will continue pursuing projects and plans with sponsor support. He promised a season filled with challenges and achievements.

The event was also attended by the team’s professional players: Egyptian Mahmoud Kahraba, Algerians Sofiane Bouchar and Victor Lekhal, Libyan Mohamed Soula, and Khaled Mohamed Ibrahim.
