Jail for PACI employees in residential address forgery and bribery case

The Criminal Court has sentenced two employees of the Public Authority for Civil Information and an expatriate representative to five years in prison.

The court also sentenced an accountant and a company representative to three years with hard labor for their involvement in forgery and bribery offenses.

According to case details, the defendants were convicted of falsifying transactions related to changing and updating residential addresses and issuing civil ID cards in exchange for bribe, reports Al-Rai daily.

They were also found guilty of forging fake rental contracts that assigned residential addresses to individuals without their knowledge, by transferring names to unrelated addresses.

The verdict underscores the judiciary’s firm stance against corruption and the misuse of official positions for personal gain, reaffirming the commitment to uphold integrity and transparency in public institutions.
