Jahra Governor inaugurates Al-Abdali Agricultural Market

The Kuwaiti Farmers Union inaugurated the seasonal Al-Abdali Agricultural Market in the Al-Abdali farming region.
The event, under the patronage and in the presence of Jahra Governor Hamad Jassim Al-Habashi, was attended by the the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works, Eng. Eid Al-Rashidi.
The opening reflects the growing importance of Kuwait’s agricultural sector and its vital role in supporting national produce, strengthening food security, and empowering local farmers while enhancing the level of domestic production.
Governor Al-Habashi expressed his gratitude to the Director-General of the Public Authority for Agriculture and Fisheries, as well as the Chairman and members of the Kuwaiti Farmers Union, for their continued efforts to develop and advance agricultural work in the country.
The Jahra Governorate Council and its specialized committees reaffirmed their commitment to addressing challenges faced by farmers and supporting all initiatives aimed at advancing the agricultural sector. They emphasized ongoing coordination with relevant government bodies and the Farmers Union to boost food security and achieve sustainable development within this vital field.
