As part of Pink October, the International Women’s Group (IWG) Kuwait participated in a breast cancer awareness initiative at Al Shaheed Park in collaboration with Cancer Aware Nation (CAN), under the slogan “Walk for a Purpose, Walk for Life.”
The event brought participants together to raise awareness of breast cancer and emphasize the importance of prevention, regular screening, and early detection.
The initiative highlighted how every step can encourage women to prioritize their health, promote awareness, and show solidarity with those affected by breast cancer. Through collective action and mutual support, participants reinforced the message that early detection saves lives and that awareness remains a vital tool in the fight against the disease.
The gathering also provided an opportunity to appreciate Al Shaheed Park’s green spaces and welcoming environment while coming together in support of a meaningful cause.
Mona Haddad El Khoury, President of the International Women’s Group Kuwait for 2026–2027, expressed her sincere gratitude to the administration of Al Shaheed Park and the Amiri Diwan of Kuwait for their warm welcome and invaluable support in making the initiative possible.
She also thanked Ms. Anwar Al-Yatama, Chair of the Committee for the Supervision, Management and Follow-up of Al Shaheed Park, Phase Three; Ms. Nojoud Al-Zamanan of the Media and Marketing Team; Salem Al-Hubail of the Media Team; and Eng. Munira Al-Mudhaf of the Amiri Diwan for their valuable contributions and support.
Special appreciation was extended to Cancer Aware Nation (CAN) for partnering with IWG Kuwait on this important awareness initiative and for its continued commitment to promoting cancer awareness and prevention.
The event reaffirmed the International Women’s Group Kuwait’s commitment to community engagement, women’s well-being, and initiatives that bring people together in support of meaningful causes.
