E. Lorenzo Morini. The event was attended by representatives of Italian restaurants in Kuwait.

During a press conference held with representatives of local media the day before yesterday evening, Ambassador Morini pointed out that the Italian Cuisine Week in the “World Italian Cuisine Week” is an initiative carried out every year by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote Italian cuisine and its traditions, highlighting the quality of ingredients, the diversity of regional cooking settings, and the importance of Italian food culture at the global level as a means of cultural exchange.

Ambassador Morini added that during this week, events are held around the world, including gastronomic sessions, cooking classes, meetings with Italian chefs, and presentations of typical Italian products.

Ambassador Morini stated that the passion of Kuwaitis for Italian cuisine and the great similarity in customs and traditions between Kuwait and Italy, particularly in food, is part of our culture. This is evidenced by the continuous growth in imports of Italian products in the agri-food sector to Kuwait, and the need to continue to focus on quality to enhance and increase the share of Italian products in the Kuwaiti market.

Regarding military cooperation, Ambassador Morini noted that there have been no new major deals between the two sides since the Euro fighter deal, but mentioned that the Kuwaiti army is using some simple Italian military equipment.

Ambassador Morini stated that there are four large Italian restaurants in Kuwait, highlighting that trade exchange between the two countries is on the rise.

In conclusion, Ambassador Morini pointed out that there are a number of Italian products in Kuwait, including clothes, cars, and more, but Italy imports oil and its derivatives from Kuwait.
