Israel warns Iran, ‘Stop the rockets or face the consequences’

In a strongly worded message, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a direct warning to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, saying that Tehran could face devastating consequences if missile attacks on Israel continue.

The Iranian leader is holding his own people hostage, Katz said in a statement today (Saturday), “and especially the residents of Tehran will pay the price for the harm inflicted on Israeli civilians. If Khamenei keeps targeting Israeli cities, Tehran will burn.”

The warning came as Israel announced the closure of Ben Gurion Airport until further notice amid rising regional tensions, reports Al-Jarida daily.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Mehr News Agency reported that Israeli airstrikes targeted an area near the Tabriz refinery in northwestern Iran, with smoke reportedly rising from the site. The strike is seen as part of a growing tit-for-tat exchange between the two countries.

As tensions escalate, both sides appear locked in a dangerous standoff with significant implications for regional security.
