Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said Wednesday that safe and sustainable passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be ensured following what it described as the end of “threats.”
In a statement, the IRGC said that “with the end of threats and under new mechanisms, safe and sustainable transit through the Strait of Hormuz will be provided.”
The statement also expressed appreciation for what it called the cooperation of shipowners operating in the Gulf waters and the Sea of Oman, saying their compliance with Iranian procedures has contributed to enhancing maritime security in the region.
