Iran has officially agreed to resume negotiations on its nuclear program with Germany, France, and Britain this coming Friday in Istanbul, according to Iranian state television.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei Kani confirmed the development, stating, “In response to the European countries’ request, Iran has agreed to hold a new round of talks with representatives of the three European countries that are members of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).”
The renewed discussions are seen as part of ongoing efforts to revive or reshape the 2015 nuclear deal, which has faced numerous setbacks in recent years.
