The Israel Defense Forces announced on Saturday that it had detected missile launches from Iran targeting Israeli territory. The army confirmed that its defense systems have been activated to intercept the incoming projectiles.
Air raid sirens sounded in multiple regions, including Jerusalem, southern Israel, and northern Israel, as residents were urged to take shelter.
The situation follows a series of escalating strikes in the region amid ongoing US-Israeli military operations against Iran, reports Al-Rai daily.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on Saturday that Israel and the United States had launched a joint attack against Iran, asserting that it aimed to “eliminate the existential threat” posed by the Iranian regime.
In a video, Netanyahu said that the Iranian regime must not possess a nuclear weapon, noting that the joint action between Washington and Tel Aviv aims to prevent this, according to him.
