Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed Thursday his country’s readiness to continue the diplomatic path to reach a just solution that guarantees Iran’s rights and establishes peace and stability in the region.
Iranian state media reported that during a phone call with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, Pezeshkian said that in order to achieve a solution, the US must stop its “provocative actions and excessive policies” on Iran.
Pezeshkian criticized the blockade of Iranian ports, saying it would worsen regional tensions. Takaichi stressed that continued dialogue is key to easing tensions and resolving Middle East escalation through diplomacy.
Takaichi also expressed her hope that negotiations between Iran and the United States would resume soon and lead to a final agreement. – Kuna
