The International Olympic Committee (IOC) removed the official video of the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony from the Olympics’ YouTube channel, according to Al Qabas newspaper.

This decision followed mounting criticism over the instigations and abuse witnessed during the ceremony, as reported by the British newspaper Daily Mail.

The newspaper reported that many users on social media shared a screenshot from the official Olympics channel, showing that the video of the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics was ‘not available.’

The newspaper pointed out that the opening ceremonies of previous Olympics, such as those in London, Rio de Janeiro, and others, are still available for viewing on the official channel. It added that the organizing committee for the Paris Olympics did not issue any clarification regarding the deletion of the opening video of the Paris 2024 Olympics.

This comes after the concert faced violent criticism, being described as ‘the worst ever,’ along with a scathing attack from around the world due to the abuse included in the event.
