Interior Ministry urges drivers to follow safety rules amid rainfall

The Ministry of Interior urged drivers to exercise caution during rainfall and adhere to essential road safety guidelines to prevent accidents.
In a press statement, the Ministry called on motorists to avoid sudden braking, maintain a safe distance between vehicles, and follow weather advisories closely.
Drivers are also reminded to ensure the vehicle tires are in good condition, use windshield wipers properly, and reduce speed to levels appropriate for the weather conditions.
The Ministry warned against entering waterlogged areas which can pose significant risks even at low speeds.
In addition, the Ministry reiterated the importance of refraining from using mobile phones while driving, stressing that distractions contribute to many traffic incidents. Motorists in need of assistance are encouraged to contact the emergency hotline 112.
