Interior Ministry launches two new online residency services

The Ministry of Interior, through the General Department of Information Systems and in coordination with the General Department of Residence Affairs, has launched two new electronic services via its official website, as part of ongoing efforts to streamline procedures and enhance digital services.

The Ministry stated that the first service allows for the issuance of a residence permit for private sector workers for the first time, in accordance with the provisions of Article (18).

The second service enables the transfer of a private sector worker’s residence permit under Article (18) to a temporary residence permit, in line with the provisions of Article (14).

These services are aimed at facilitating transactions for beneficiaries, reducing processing time, and supporting the Ministry’s digital transformation initiatives.
