“Interior Ministry” Largest local liquor factory seized in Abdali
The Ministry of Interior announced that the Criminal Security Sector, through the General Department of Criminal Investigations (Department of Combating Public Morals and Combating Human Trafficking), successfully monitored and seized the largest local liquor factory in the Abdali agricultural area. The factory, operated by Asian nationals, was an integrated center for the production and manufacture of local liquor.
The ministry said in a statement that after obtaining the necessary legal permission, the competent authorities raided the site.
The operation led to the arrest of those in charge of the factory and the confiscation of all seized items. These included approximately 2,030 barrels containing materials used in the manufacture of alcohol, as well as 10,000 local plastic bottles of alcohol, ready for distribution and sale.
It was also discovered that the factory was using a large swimming pool as a tank to collect the alcohol after the distillation process. The accused individuals and the seized items were referred to the competent authorities for the necessary legal action.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that this operation is part of the ongoing security efforts by the Criminal Security Sector to combat illegal activities with strict measures, aiming to preserve the security and safety of society.
The Ministry emphasized its commitment to continuing efforts to arrest criminals and deter anyone who attempts to undermine the country’s security.
