“Interior Ministry” ensures comprehensive preparations for the 26th Gulf Cup
The Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Ali Al-Adwani, chaired a meeting with field security leaders at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium on Monday, December 16, to discuss the security, traffic, and logistical preparations for the 26th Gulf Cup. Kuwait will host this event from 21 December, 2024 to, 3 January, 2025.
Al-Adwani listened to an explanation of the readiness of the field sectors to implement the security and traffic plan for the tournament. The discussion also covered field preparations and procedures, human capabilities, and the mechanism for enhancing support and coordination among all parties involved in organizing and securing the tournament.
Al-Adwani stressed that there are clear directives from, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior, H. E. Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, to leverage all security, traffic, technical, and human resources to ensure a successful organization of this Gulf sports event.
This is in line with the high-level directives from the political leadership to present the championship in a distinguished manner that reflects the depth of Gulf relations.
Al-Adwani emphasized the need for full coordination and comprehensive cooperation between the field security leaders responsible for the security and traffic organizational plan for the tournament. This includes both the prepared plans and any alternative plans that may be required due to emergency developments.
Moreover, Al-Adwani also stressed the importance of cooperation with the organizing authorities to facilitate entry and exit from the stadiums for the public.
At the end of the meeting, Major General Al-Adwani expressed his great confidence in the police and their ability to secure the 26th Gulf Championship as they always do.
Al-Adwani also urged the public to cooperate with the security and traffic forces and follow the instructions and directives aimed at ensuring everyone’s safety and facilitating the entry and exit process, in order to enjoy the championship experience.
