Interior Ministry arrests woman in a fraud case

The Criminal Investigation Department has resolved an incident circulated on social media involving allegations of fraud and deception, the Ministry of Interior said on Monday.

According to the ministry, the case involved a woman who requested printing services from a company but did not pay the agreed amount.

After the filing of the complaint which was posted online, security authorities began investigations to verify the details of the incident and after completing search and inquiry procedures, the suspect was identified and taken into custody, reports Al-Rai daily.

When confronted with the evidence, she admitted to committing the act and failing to settle the payment at the time of receiving the services.

The accused was subsequently referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures in accordance with applicable laws.
