India’s Rana Group to build $10 billion smart manufacturing hub in UAE

The Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub, spanning 335 acres in Ras Al Khaimah, will host 150 industries, generate an estimated $5 billion to $6 billion in annual turnover, and create 4,000 jobs.

  • The Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub aims to strengthen the UAE’s manufacturing sector, reduce dependence on imports, and boost its contribution to the nation’s $483 billion gross domestic product (GDP).

  • The manufacturing hub in Ras Al Khaimah will focus on advanced industries, including electric and hydrogen vehicles, eVTOL flying taxis, semiconductor production, and renewable energy technologies.

India’s Rana Group has kicked off construction of a $10 billion smart manufacturing hub in Ras Al Khaimah, one of the UAE’s largest industrial investments, reported UAE-based Gulf News.

The Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub, spanning 335 acres in the Al Ghail Industrial Area, will host 150 industries, generate an estimated $5–6 billion in annual turnover, and create 4,000 jobs.

The project aims to strengthen the UAE’s manufacturing sector, reduce dependence on imports, and boost its contribution to the nation’s $483 billion GDP, positioning Ras Al Khaimah as a key center for industrial innovation and economic growth.

The Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub in Ras Al Khaimah will focus on advanced industries, including electric and hydrogen vehicles, eVTOL flying taxis, semiconductor production, and renewable energy technologies. Once completed within five years, the hub will span over 25 million square feet of industrial space and integrate commercial, residential, and community facilities, including hospitals, colleges, shopping complexes, banks, and warehouses.

Dr. Darshan Rana, Chairman and Managing Director of Erisha E Mobility, said the project “will stand at the forefront of the green energy revolution, significantly contributing to the UAE’s net-zero ambitions while fostering a self-sustainable future.” The Rana Group will own and manage more than half of the 150 industries, with some units expected to start production within a year.

Project partners include Capital Engineering Design, GHV Infra as EPC contractor, N3XUS as ESG and SDG consultant, and AINS Group as architects and PMC.

The development also provides Indian manufacturers a strategic base in the UAE to export to the U.S., bypassing higher tariffs on Indian goods under the “Made in the UAE” label. Hosted by Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), the hub is expected to strengthen bilateral economic ties and establish the UAE as a center for sustainable, high-tech manufacturing.
