Indian travelers can now visit the Philippines without a visa

Indian nationals can now enjoy visa-free travel to the Philippines, according to recent reports citing the Philippine Embassy in New Delhi. The Southeast Asian country has rolled out two categories of visa-free entry, aiming to boost tourism from India.

14-Day Visa-Free Entry — Indian tourists can enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay of up to 14 days, strictly for tourism purposes. This entry is non-extendable and cannot be converted into any other visa category.

To qualify, travelers must present a passport valid for at least six months; confirmed accommodation, a return or onward ticket; proof of sufficient funds and a clean immigration record in the Philippines

30-day visa-free entry for AJACSSUK visa holders — Indian citizens who hold valid visas or permanent residency from any of the following countries —Australia, Japan, America (USA), Canada, Schengen states, Singapore, or the United Kingdom (AJACSSUK)—are eligible for a visa-free stay of up to 30 days. This entry is also limited to tourism, non-extendable, and non-convertible.

E-Visa option still available

For those who do not qualify for visa-free travel, the Philippines e-visa system remains active. Indian citizens can apply online for the 9(a) Temporary Visitor Visa, which allows a single-entry stay of up to 30 days.

Applicants must submit their request through evisa.gov.ph with the following documents — valid passport; government-issued ID; recent photographs, proof of accommodation, return flight ticket and financial documents

The visa fee must be paid within 48 hours of application submission, and applicants should monitor their email for updates or additional document requests.

This new visa-free initiative is expected to make travel easier and more attractive for Indian tourists, inviting them to explore the Philippines’ famed white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant cultural heritage.
