Indian Embassy organizes blood donation camp

Embassy of India, Kuwait organized a blood donation camp on 31st January  in association with the Indian Doctors Forum at the Al Adan Hospital. The event was graced by the Indian Ambassador H.E Dr. Adarsh Swaika ,Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmad Al Awadhi, ,Dr. Hussein Jasser, Director of the Al Adan Hospital; Dr. Reem Al Radwan, Director of Kuwait Central Blood Bank; Dr. Hanan Al Awadhi, Medical Director of Kuwait Central Blood Bank, Diwakara Chaluvaiah, president of Indian doctors forum, Kuwait.

A large number of members from the Indian community participated in the event as donors. Every year, several thousand Indian citizens working in Kuwait selflessly donate blood. The camp showcased the readiness of the Indian community to contribute to Kuwait’s requirements.

The Indian Embassy, Indian Doctors Forum and various Indian community associations in Kuwait organize blood-donation and free medical camps in Kuwait from time to time. In 2023, Embassy along-with IDF organised 3 free medical camps. Over 50 blood-donation camps were organized by various Indian associations in Kuwait in 2023.

The event also highlighted the contribution of the Indian community in the medical field. Currently, there are a large number of Indian doctors, paramedical and nurses from India working in both government and private hospitals of Kuwait. They are a community of first preference because of their expertise, hard work and compassion.
