The Indian Embassy in Tehran has advised Indian nationals to leave Iran using available transportation options, amid growing concerns over potential military strikes by the United States.
In an official statement, the embassy said that, following an earlier advisory issued by the Government of India on January 5, 2026, and in light of the evolving security situation in Iran, Indian citizens currently in that country are strongly encouraged to depart through available travel options, including commercial flights, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The embassy also called on Indian nationals and persons of Indian origin to remain vigilant, keep their travel and identification documents — including passports and residency cards — readily accessible, and contact the embassy for assistance if needed.
