IMA Ladies Wing’s Pearls of Islam celebrates Annual Day

On the occasion of the Pearls of Islam (POI) Annual Day Celebration in Salmiya, Kuwait, the IMA Ladies Wing (IMA-LW) hosted an inspiring event that brought together young girls, educators, and community members. The program, centered on promoting knowledge, character, and faith, was graced by the presence of Ms. Amina Tamimi, a distinguished member of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs (Daiya), who served as the guest speaker.
In her address, Ms. Tamimi emphasized the true definition of beauty as an amalgamation of knowledge, confidence, and character. She encouraged the young girls present to focus on cultivating their inner selves, explaining how achieving true beauty is deeply connected to acquiring knowledge and developing a strong, confident character.
Her words were aimed at inspiring the girls to strive for excellence in both their personal and academic lives.
The event was further enriched by a captivating Nasheed performance by the young POI students, followed by a speech on Waqf delivered by Mariyam Afroz, a member of the IMA Ladies Wing. Mariyam presented a detailed explanation of the importance of Waqf in Islam and its significance for the Muslim community.
She also highlighted the Waqf Amendment 2025 and its implications for both Muslim and Indian societies. Her speech raised awareness about the urgency of understanding and participating in the Waqf system and the need to play an active role in promoting this important act.
In addition to the speeches, the event included an engaging quiz session, designed to test the audience’s understanding of the main topics discussed. The quiz sparked enthusiasm and excitement among the attendees, adding an interactive element to the program. Prizes, including rewards and consolation prizes, were distributed to the participants, which included both teachers and students from the IMA POI group.
The Annual Day Celebration was attended by approximately 65 girls and 35 ladies, making it a well-attended and successful event. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks to all the teachers, students, and volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the event’s success. The organizers expressed gratitude to the audience, without whom the event would not have been as impactful.
