The nicotine industry is increasingly seen as highly disruptive, with vapes now widely viewed as an alternative to traditional tobacco products. Yet smoking remains the leading cause of preventable death and disease, costing billions annually.
To raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use, vaping, and secondhand smoke, the Indian Doctors Forum (IDF) partnered with Indian schools across Kuwait to deliver impactful awareness sessions on April 16, aiming to discourage the use of tobacco in all its forms.Around twenty Indian doctors participated in this commendable initiative, and the sessions were very well received by both school management and students.
The principals of the schools expressed their appreciation for the inspiring presentations and the doctors’ ability to engage children with such an important topic in an interesting and accessible way.
They wholeheartedly welcomed the effort and conveyed their gratitude to the Indian Doctors Forum (IDF) for this noble initiative, expressing interest in hosting more such sessions in the future.
